TCL
New Commands have been added:LISTVOLUMES, DETACH_VOLUME, DICT, MAKEFILE, MAKEVOC, RUNVOC, RUN, EXEC
When running LIST type reports, the report viewer retains focus, rather than TCL.
A new table named SYSVOC has been added. It emulates the VOC file as seen in Arev and other Pick-type systems.
A new TCL Assistant has been added to the TCL window. It assists the user in creating TCL commands by offering suggestions, much like the softkeys in Arev.
TCL can now be accessed from the Application Manager by pressing the F5 key

User-defined buttons can now be added to the side bar tool list. In the oinsight.ini file, in the [Application Manager] section, adding a comma delimited list of entries for the following items will allow the display and use of custom button

SideBarCustom_Text=Launch Character to OpenInsight Window (text that appears in the status line)
SideBarCustom_Img=C:\temp\monitr01.bmp (bitmap to appear on the custom button)

SCAN_REP doesn't recognize the new SYSLOGINS key layout (key part 4) when checking for logged in users, thus preventing it from advancing to the next page. This bug has been fixed.
The System Monitor can be accessed by pressing the F12 key
Basic+ and System Routines
Issue with extra columns in a CSVFILE created from RUN_REPORT because of multiple line heading rows has been addressed.
MixedCase function VNAV error when passing an unassigned variable has been addressed.
GETMAIL has been modified to stop removing extraneous spaces in the message body. A TRIM had been performed on the message body; that has been removed.
SENDMAIL has been modified to return an error immediately if the required fields of MailServername, SenderName, or Recipient are missing. A graphic error message regarding connection has been removed.
The Environ_Constants insert has been updated with fields 41 through 48
The ENCRYPT _FORMAT User defined conversion is available for use
The Gas Gauge message has been updated to size itself properly.
Xlate()fails on SYSDICT symbolics that evaluate symbolics existing explicitly in a data file dictionary. This has been fixed.
Passing a command into Run_Report that has nested select logic will result in the command failing to run. This has been fixed
In Run_Report when breaking on values within an MV field the results were not correct. This bug is fixed.
The Msg routine has been modified to turn off the message beep.. The MBEEP$ parameter should be an “N”.
A division by zero error within the Msg function has been fixed.
Repository method GETHTML corrupts the document by inserting a content type = text in if the document does not start with an HTML tag. This bug has been fixed.
If there are more than two spaces after an INSERT, the compile fails with a SYS1105 error. This bug has been fixed.
The Delete_Table routine no long returns error "FS100" on successful deletes.
A bug in the CREATE_TABLE subroutine regarding presizing of the files has been fixed.
A bug in the Msg routine for compatibility with parameter 4 in the AREV message has been fixed.
A VNAV error in the ETMethod function when using the DELETE service on edittables not bound to datasets has been fixed.
The B102 error for the new compiler parser has been fixed. The compiler would report mismatched END statements on a line number greater than the total lines within the program.
Ability to set margins with RUN_REPORT has been added.
Database Manager
On the Indexes/Reports tab, a new option for maintaining '0' records in relational indexes has been added. The default behavior is to not maintain 0 records.
On the Indexes/Reports tab, two new entries for default OIPI behavior have been added: Shadow format (RTF or HTML) and Unit of Measure (Standard or Metric)
Menu Documenter - If menu option has an Event script and no QuickEvent "event". The layout of the printed output was incorrect. This has been fixed.
The dialog boxes for table manipulation (add, remove, delete) were not enabling the buttons properly. This has been fixed.
The 'table' routines (create, delete, copy, set_mfs etc) have been modified to update the DBT file
A Gas Gauge message has been added when removing and adding tables.
The ability to add multiple indices through the Add Index dialog boxes has been added.
The ability to sort key columns in ASCENDING order by key part, rather than DESCENDING by name.
Table Browser fix. The number of records to select is not overridden on initial load.

The Add Tables dialog box now has the ability to be sorted by account. This is a new environment setting accessible through the Environment Settings dialog.

UI Workspace
Popups now support multiple-line popup titles. When the popup title contains pipe characters "|", a text box appears above the popups' edittable and the text is displayed there, left justified. Popup printing has been modified accordingly.
A new Promoted Event tool has been added to the Event Designer. Refer to then Event Designer Help in the Guide to Application Development.
Banded Report Writer
A new banded report writer has been included in OpenInsight release 8.0. It can be accessed by choosing the Banded Report Writer menu choice from the tools menu.
A Banded Report Writer Quick Start is included in the OpenInsight 8.0 directory.
Arev32
A console-based application window for running Arev-based applications.
A new Arev32 Conversion Wizard has been created.

U2 Connector
Creation of tables on the U2 back end is now allowed
A new option for updating dictionaries on the U2 back end has been added
A number of speed issues have been addressed; the connector now run much more quickly, and performance overall has been improved.
The U2 Connection Setup window has been enhanced
Form Designer/Presentation Manager
QBFTABLE has been modified to support toggled sorting; double-clicking on a column heading will sort ascending, double-clicking again will sort descending
EditTables have been modified to support a maximum of 250 columns. The previous limit was approximately 128.
The ability to change the “BACKCOLOR” of a READONLY EDITBOX was lost in 7.2. This has been fixed.
Drag and Drop functionality has been added to OpenInsight Presentation Manager. See the Help for more details.
Table Builder
Support for AMV groups has been added; see fields 36 and 37
Time and Date stamps have been added to dictionary items in field 35 of the dictionary record
Added DEFAULT, NOT NULL and HEADING to the output of Print Dictionary Listing.
A bug in XLATE on a generic symbolic defined in SYSDICT has been fixed.
The Table Builder Wizard now adds default data types
A bug when creating a new table and adding a non key item first causing no Field Pos of 0 to be set has been fixed.
Deleting a dictionary column with a synonym now will make the synonym the position deleted.
A bug with the data type not defaulting when creating columns has been fixed.
A bug in the Make Equates dialog box. The check box for "prefix" is no longer always disabled.
A bug when opening more than one table for modification and using the Save Toolbar button has been fixed. The button no longer stays disabled even after modifying tables after the Save button has been clicked.
When the application option "Maintain Database Columns in Repository" is turned on and you use the Table Builder to edit a table from the "GLOBAL" application, deleting a column returns a "REP120: Inherited entity GLOBAL*DBCOLUMN*table.column cannot be modified". This has been fixed.
System Editor
A bug in Search and Replace that would change @window to EDITOR_REPLACE_BAR has been fixed
Behavior of the Find window has been improved- pressing Ctrl-F with the window open will highlight the existing search text for overwriting
A new Global Replace has been added. It can find, replace and/or recompile all routines or records containing a specified string.
An error with using the Format Prog menu choice regarding a DELETE command in the program to be formatted has been fixed
When compiling, the status line of the new system monitor now displays a 'Compiling...' message
After a compilation, the status line will display success messages in blue, errors in red, and suspected unassigned variables in orange.
A locking bug between AREV and OI data has been fixed.
The Listbasic routine is no longer missing the page header when printing.
When no search text has been specified, the Find Again function no longer shows a '%1% not found' error.
Web Interface / OECGI
A new registry entry labeled SysDownPage has been added. If an entry exists for that key, OECGI will return the HTML page specified in the key upon an OECGI connection error, rather than the standard 'Unable to connect' error message.
Report Builder
The report's default printer information is stored in the report record itself. Report will print to that printer when run unless overridden
Support for parenthesis has been added to the Select Rows window
Support for BETWEEN has been expanded
The option to display or suppress record counts at the bottom of the report has been added
The ability to suppress tables from the list of tables available for reporting has been added
A new Page Setup window has been integrated to allow for setting margins and orientation which are stored in the report record itself

The ability to resize the last column in the Report Builder interface has been added.
Inline prompting within the Run_Report function enters a NULL value when clicking the Cancel button from the resulting prompt message. It now aborts the process.
Run_Report now displays hour glass when selecting data.
The Report Builder now respects the contents of a dictionary field named %REPORT_FIELDS%. If that field is found in a dictionary, only fields listed in an @VM delimited list in field 3 of the record will be available for reporting.
OIPI
The ability to combine multiple OIPI reports into one report and create a pdf has been added. See the LOADDOC message in the Programmer's Reference Guide.
The ability to email OIPI reports from the Preview window has been added.
The OIPI Set_Printer TextBox message has been fixed for a bug regarding the FONT not displaying properly on repeating pages..
Added the ability to rename the CLOSE button in the OIPI Preview window
ADDTABLE was not placing column headings on all pages. This bug has been fixed.
The ability to archive reports from the print preview window has been added.
VSPRINTER close button has been moved to the right hand side of the dialog
A new Export Format window has been added. This replaces the PDF dialog that previously existed. The button to launch the window is the same as it was to launch the PDF dialog.
The INIT message has been expanded to allow for the disabling of specific export formats allowable within the Export Formats dialog.
The INIT message has been expanded to allow for the use of custom images on the standard buttons.
CS Workspace
A bug in the Data Warehousing Updates Only option not finding any records to update has been fixed.
The text within the Data Warehousing Wizard has been updated to reflect the proper processing on each page of the Wizard.
A bug in the Dataset builder regarding saving datasets without sources causing a REP error has been fixed.
RDK
When deploying to an already existing path the RDK Extract process will now only delete REVxxxxx files, instead of clearing all files within the path.
RDK now supports UNC.
The Tab order in the Deployment Definition window has been corrected.
The ability to deploy “GLOBAL” tables has been fixed.
While creating an RDK an option to save the comments as a Readme.txt file along with the update as been updated.
The inability to select a newly created tables from the "All Application Entries" under the Repository View has been fixed.
An option has been added to set data tables to “Do Not Deploy” without having to select each table separately and set to “Do Not Deploy”.
The ability to copy an existing application to a new application has been added.
A “POST” process has been added RDK now has capability of running a process after the RDK is updated.
Other
Context Menu Builder sort of entries bug has been fixed.
Context Menu Builder delete key does not allow deletion. This bug has been fixed.
Define_Struct does not create a correct repository entry - the subkey is wrong so deployments fail. This bug has been fixed.
The REVERROR.DAT file has been updated for the EV errors.
Document_Window routine now has an additional params parameter. It is an @fm delimited list for Orientation and Font Size.
Document_Window(parent,winID,1:@fm:10) will print landscape with a font size of 10.
Unused parameters in Rlist and Save_Select commands are now optional.
A new dictionary record %REPORT_FIELDS% can be created. This record should the fields to include in reports built using the Report Builder or Banded Report Writer. The record should have the same format and fields as the %FIELDS% record. At this time, there is not a front end for this functionality.
